A rare survivor from the 14th century, this English encaustic floor tile offers a tangible connection to the medieval world. Crafted from clay and decorated with a repeated triangular motif in ochre-yellow slip, its square form and geometric design reflect the Gothic aesthetic prevalent in ecclesiastical and noble architecture of the period.
