An interesting Elizabeth I/James I joined and boarded oak ecclesiastical coffer, circa 1600-20.
English origin.
The panelled lid with applied rails to simulate three panels, the front with three panels below a deep top rail with two lock plates, all atop long scroll-profiled front spandrels, the boarded sides descending to V-shaped cut-away supports,
Provenance - Unknown.
