Description
A set of 4 x 16thC antique carved oak portrait panels of “Romayne” type.
Each with a head-and-shoulder side profile portrait; two of males and two of females set within roundels with foliage and swags below.
Each pair of panels is inset within a later frame. It is likely that these panels and frames were salvaged from a period piece of furniture now broken up.
Condition – surface wear commensurate with age. Please refer to the images. These panels display very well.
