Description
A rare mid-15thC French antique carved oak panel heavily decorated with blind gothic tracery with substantial remains of its original gilt-gesso and polychromy.
This panel most probably formed part of a gothic cupboard now sadly long since lost.
Featuring a rose-pattern to the centre with lancets below and a gothic column to the bottom left of the panel.
Condition – as per images. Losses and surface wear. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
This is a rare panel and would look good in any period or Gothic setting.
