Provincial Late 18th Century English Antique Oak & Mahogany Wine Table

A late 18th Century English antique wine table made in the provinces of England, hence the use of mixed timbers.

With a circular top made from mahogany over a single turned oak stem supported on a tripod base.

Superb colour and patination.

Condition – The top shows signs of over two centuries of wear – hands have touched and carried this piece around for over two hundred years and the timber has thinned very slightly towards the edge. The top has lovely colour as one would expect. The oak stem is sound. There are traces of restoration to one leg where it has been reattached to the base of the stem however this has been undertaken exceedingly well and cannot be detected unless under very close scrutiny.
