A naively carved pair of late 16th Century English antique carved oak terms.
Each, with a stylised flower and acanthus leaf pediment over an arcaded frieze and below, a head-and-torso figure of a bearded man. Supported on a plinth base comprising a further male mask flanked by geometric patterns and scrolls with running carved ornamentation below.
Excellent colour and patination. The carvings displays incredibly well.
Condition – as per the images. The terms have been backed on to later 19thC timbers verso.
