A rare pair of early 16th Century Belgian antique carved oak window shutters, attributed to Flanders, complete with the remains of their original iron hinges/ironwork and traces of original polychrome too!
The left panel depicts an angel bearing an armorial. The right panel bears a date of “1525” and the initials “GC”.
Condition – as per the images. Very good overall. Minor losses specifically to the bottom of each panel. Both panels have been fixed side-by-side by the addition of two batons verso.
