Description
A mid 18thC English antique delftware plate in the chinoiserie manner in underglaze blue with Bianco-Sopra-Bianco border.
Attributed to Bristol, England.
Condition – There are some minor traces of restoration to the rim verso which, cannot be seen from the front. A very faint hairline is apparent to the top left quartile from the front, running from the rim to the centre (approx 15 cm / 6″ in length) but can not be noticed unless under very close scrutiny. The rim also has some minor fritting. The plate still displays very well.
