Description
A mid 17thC German antique stoneware bellarmine jug or bartmannkrug, circa 1625-1675.
In typical “tiger glaze”.
The elongated neck decorated with a typical bearded mask over a decorative medallion depicting a naively stylised lion sejant.
Condition – as per the images. With traces of restoration to the neck and part of the body. This has been done well. The jug displays very well.
