Description
A mid 17thC German antique stoneware bellarmine jug or bartmannkrug, circa 1625-1675.
In salt glaze.
The elongated neck decorated with a typical bearded mask over a decorative medallion below incorporating a love heart.
Condition – as per the images. There is a frit to the string rim and minor fritting to the foot. The jug displays very well.
