Found in the North of England and of unusual form, we offer for sale this wonderful, yet primitive, English antique wood wing back armchair, circa 1790-1810.
The back support, shaped wings, and seat are of nail and plank construction over four ring-turned legs, reminiscent of the legs seen on cutler’s stools originating from the Sheffield area of the UK.
The chair has a lovely colour as per the images.
Condition – as per the images. Surface wear commensurate with age. This is a chair that is both useable and decorative.
