Late 18th Century English Antique Treen Dried Goods Jar With Original Lid

A late 18th Century English antique dry goods jar in original condition with its original lid.

Turned from a single piece of timber. The lid has its original knopped finial. The outer surface retains its original painted surface and is carved with linear decoration. Supported overall on a raised circular foot.

This is a great-looking period item that oozes all the charm of the period to which it relates.

Condition – Please refer to the images. Some surface wear is commensurate with age. The inner rim of the jar where the lid fits has a minor loss. This cannot be seen when the lid is placed upon it and the fit remains snug. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
