Description
A late 16th Century antique brass candlestick of large proportions.
Made in two parts with a slightly flared candle sconce over double a knopped stem and supported overall on a raised circular foot. The stem detaches from the base and connects to it via a hand-made screw thread.
Condition – Please refer to the images. There is surface wear commensurate with age. Part of the rim of the sconce has a very minor loss. The surface of the metal overall has been allowed to oxidize. A detailed condition report is available upon request.
