A lovely late 15th Century antique oak strong box or alms box with original ironwork and iron bindings.
English / French origin.
Of plank and nailed construction with original carry handles and catch.
Superb colour.
Condition – good as the per the images. Restored by the previous owner. The surface has been re-polished. The iron work is all original. There are some age-related losses as would be expected for a box that is in excess of 500 years old.
