Description

A charming 17thC carved oak panel of elongated form, depicting a female figure holding a cut-throat razor in her right hand and bag in her left.

Most probably removed from a piece of furniture long since lost.

The pediment is carved as a woven basket overflowing with fruits and foliage and below, a full-length figure of a woman, terminating on a scrolled plinth base.

Condition – Good as per the images. There is some surface wear commensurate with age.

Size: Height 61 cm x Width 11.5 cm x Depth 7 cm (24″ x 4 1/2″ x  2 3/4″)
