A stunning walnut overmantle dating back to the late 17th Century.
French origin.
An old label verso bears the name “Baudru and Foix” (the armorial may represent the coat of arms of the Baudru family).
Foix is a commune, the former capital of the County of Foix. Today it is the Préfecture of the Ariège department in southwestern France in the Occitanie region.
Condition – as per images. Great colour and patination. This carving is of a large size. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
