A large 17th Century antique carved limewood bust of a Saint in original gilt gesso and polychrome.
Baroque period and most probably Italian in origin.
With a hollowed aperture to the sternum, made to accommodate a reliquary.
Depicted with long flowing golden locks of hair, silk collar and robe to his left shoulder. This
Condition – Good as per the images. Some age related splits to the timber and surface wear commensurate with age but all are stable.
