A multiple use George III Period English antique treen gaming board, used for Chess and Draughts (also known as a “Checkers” in the USA).

The board consists of 64 squares inlaid with alternate veneers, which appear to be satinwood and mahogany, set upon a deal (pine) carcass. The edges of the board are finished with beading.

Every second square on the board is numbered “1” to “32” which no doubt represents the game of draughts or checkers in addition to its use for chess.

Condition – There is surface wear commensurate with age. The board has wonderful patination and can still be used for gaming. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
