Description

Acquired directly from Christopher Sherwood, the son of Clive Sherwood the renowned oak collector, and originally forming part of his father’s collection, we offer for sale this 19thC carved oak bracket. We understand that this has never been on the open market previously.

Carved as a stylised grotesque, its mouth open and tongue protruding, the sides incised with acanthus leaves.

Condition – Good as per the images.  The oak has a lovely skin/colour. There is some minor surface wear commensurate with age.

Size: Height 30.5 cm x Width 15.25 cm x Depth 35 cm (12″ x 6″ x  13 3/4″)
