Description
An early 19th Century antique pine box settle of small proportions.
With high-panelled back, shaped arms and turned arm supports over a box seat and sledge feet below.
The seat lifts to reveal an interior fitted with two storage compartments.
Condition – this has been through our workshop as the previous owner decided to remove the original scumble finish and paint it! The surface has been re-finished with a period stain which is more sympathetic to the piece. The settle displays incredibly well and also functions as a useful and durable day-to-day piece of furniture. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
