Description
An early 18th Century Irish antique wrought iron corner-standard rushlight, with hinged jaws, the counter-balance formed from twisted iron and terminating in a rolled iron candle sconce.
Supported on a rise-and-fall stem over a tripod base.
Condition – As per the images. The stem tensioner has worn with age. It no longer has sufficient resistance to support the weight of the stem when fully extended.
