Description

A mid 17thC German antique stoneware bellarmine jug or bartmannkrug bearing The Arms of Amsterdam, circa 1600-1620.

In typical “tiger glaze”.

The elongated neck decorated with a typical bearded mask over a decorative medallion depicting The Arms of Amsterdam.

Condition – as per the images. With very feint traces of restoration to the neck, handle and part of the body. This has been done exceptionally well.  The jug displays very well.

Size: Height 21.5 cm (8 1/2″)
