Description

An early 16th Century antique iron lock.
The iron work decorated with blind Gothic tracery.
Mounted on a carved oak panel of the same period.
The lock and panel appear to have been salvaged from a piece of 16th Century furniture long since lost.

Condition – as per the images. There is age-related surface wear and oxidation to the lock plate and oak panel. The lock plate does have a lock verso however this no longer functions and it is lacking its key too. This item displays incredibly well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
