An early 16th Century English antique carved stone head of a Tudor gentleman, depicted wearing a hat.

The head appears to be carved from sandstone.

This head may well have formed part of the external decoration to a window of doorway which is now long since lost.

Provenance – From a private Derbyshire-based collection.

Alison Barker (1951 – 2021), a retired Barrister-at-law and lifetime collector of the curious, the carved and the archaic.

Condition – surface wear is commensurate with age (weathered). Please refer to the images.  This displays very well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
