An early 18th Century antique carved walnut panel depicting a recumbent neo-classical maiden.

Flemish in origin.

Presented in an associated walnut frame of later date.

Condition – as per the images. There are traces of old woodworm. Inactive and long since gone. Treated too as a precautionary measure. The subjects left hand and part of her toga appear to have been exposed to a naked flame at some point during its life. The panels does display very well.
