An Early 18th Century English Antique Wrought Iron Rushlight Grisset Pan

An 18th Century English antique wrought iron grisset pan used to melt mutton fat over the fire.
Rushes would be drawn through it and coated in mutton fat.  They were then lit and used as tapers and placed in the jaws of a rushlight to produce light.
This is a must for any rushlight collector!
Condition – the wrought iron has surface pitting and there is a minor age related loss to part of the rim of the pan as per the images.
