Description
An impressive sized 15thC French antique carved oak blind Gothic tracery panel which once formed part of a coffer or chest.
Most probably the central front upright panel in view of the rebate at the top which would have once house a lock mechanism.
The tracery decoration incorporates daggers and leaf and bud motifs and lancets below. The tenons can be seen to both the top and bottom of the panel.
Condition – Good colour with a dry surface. There are some traces of old worm. Inactive and long since gone. Treated too as a precautionary measure.
