Description
A 19th Century antique carved wooden sculpture depicting Palaemon, the Greco-Roman sea god, riding up a naively stylised dolphin.
This sculpture once formed a support to a larger piece of furniture now long since lost.
Most probably of Continental origin.
Condition – surface wear commensurate with age with some losses. Please refer to the images. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
