18th Century Antique Leather Miners Hat

18th Century Antique Leather Miners Hat
A charming 18thC antique leather hat.
Most likely worn by a miner as a “hard hat”, with a candle sconce positioned on the brim, although being made of leather, they offered very little protection!
Condition – as per the images. Good overall. The leather has lovely wear as one would expect given its age and has become very hard with time. It is a lovely tactile, period object. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
Size: Diameter 11″ (28 cm) x Length 12 1/2″ (32 cm) x Height 4 1/4″ (11 cm)
