18th Century Antique Carved Walnut Panel Depicting a Cathedral Facade
An 18thC French, intricately carved, antique stylised walnut panel depicting a Cathedral facade.
The carving appears to have been influenced by the 13th Century Gothic Cathedral which stands in Amiens, Northern France and overlooks the River Somme.
With twin towers flanking a central rose window with saintly figures set within Gothic arches below. The base inset with three doors, each outer-door frame decorated with a simple cross.
Condition – surface wear commensurate with age. Please refer to the images. This panel displays very well.
