A 16th Century Dutch antique brass capstan candlestick.
Identifiable as Dutch given the thicker alloy in comparison to its English counterparts which are constructed from thinner alloy.
With a large cast sconce and ejection apertures above a spun bell-shaped base.
Condition – all in all good. There is a minor loss to the foot and some age-related thinning as one would expect given 450+ years of life. An additional condition report is available upon request.
