We had to buy this chair not just because it is an 18th Century English antique comb back windsor but also because of its fabulous burrwood seat board!
With shaped cresting rail above a spindle back; three-part arm with shaped supports; burrwood seat; and supoprted on four turned legs united by an "H" stretcher.
Superb colour.
A "must buy" for any serious chair collector.
Condition - all the joints are stable. There are very minor historic repairs to the the three-part arm with the insertion of two minor timber fillets (see image 9). The front right leg has also been re-attached to the chair at some point during its life. Please remember that this chair is in excess of 200 years old so it will have seen life!
