Classical carvings of this scale and quality are difficult to source.

This fine carved wood sculpture (carved from deal) of a full length male figure, standing 4 feet in height, shows Baroque period carving at its best.

Sourced from a Belgian collection and fresh to the UK market, this full-length bearded figure is swathed in robes, his torso showing, bearing a book to his left and is supported on a plinth base.

This fine figure would grace any home as a major piece of art in its own right or as a homage to the Master Sculptors of the Baroque Period.

Condiition as per images.  Lacking part of the forearms and hands.  Some surface wear commensurate with age.
